Radheshyam Meher: Contributing to the Transfusion Evidence Round-Up for International Childhood Cancer Day 2026
Radheshyam Meher, Senior Resident at AIIMS, reposted from International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) on LinkedIn, adding:
“Honoured to be featured as a contributor to the Transfusion Evidence Round-Up– International Childhood Cancer Day 2026, an initiative by the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) and the Transfusion Evidence Library (TEL), in collaboration with the ISBT Cellular Therapies Working Party.
This special edition highlights key advances at the intersection of Transfusion Medicine, Paediatric Haematology and Cellular Therapies. Being part of an international editorial team committed to translating evidence into clinical practice has been both a privilege and a learning experience.
Grateful to my colleagues and mentors across the global transfusion and cell therapy community for their collaboration and dedication to advancing patient care. I look forward to continued contributions that bridge science, clinical practice, and education.
Thanks to International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) and Allison Mo for providing me this wonderful opportunity.”
Quoting International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT)‘s post:
“Last Sunday marked International Childhood Cancer Day, and to recognise the occasion, we’ve teamed up with the ISBT Cellular Therapies Working Group to share a special joint Round-Up highlighting the latest developments in Transfusion Medicine and Cell Therapy.
In this edition, we take a closer look at research shaping paediatric haematology and stem cell transplantation, including insights from the FORUM Trial on how minimal residual disease influences outcomes in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. We also explore progress in TCRαβ/CD19-depleted haematopoietic stem cell transplantation, second transplant strategies for relapsed acute myeloid leukaemia, and outcomes following CAR-T therapy in children and young people.
Whether you work in transfusion, cell therapy research, or have an interest in paediatric oncology, this curated top-ten selection brings together valuable insights from across both fields.”
