Rucha Patil: Delighted to Contribute to The Round Table on Integrated Care of Hemophilia and Hemoglobinopathies
Rucha Patil, Scientist at Department of Haemostasis and Thrombosis, ICMR- National Institute of Immunohaematology, shared on LinkedIn:
”Delighted to be invited to contribute to the Round Table Discussions on Integrated Care of Hemophilia and Hemoglobinopathies (Sickle Cell Disease and Thalassemia) held on 2nd–3rd February 2026 in Dibrugarh, Assam beautifully organized by Dr Anupam Dutta and his team.
This important initiative brings together healthcare professionals and health authorities to design a tailored programme under the National Health Mission (NHM), with a focus on piloting the use of point-of-care (POC) testing across Rajasthan and Assam at multiple levels of care where I was actively involved in the strategic planning of implementing point-of-care testing for Hemophilia and von Willebrand Disease (VWD) — an effort aimed at improving early diagnosis, timely referral, and strengthening decentralized care delivery.
Grateful to the Novo Nordisk Haemophilia and Haemoglobinopathies Foundation (NNHF) Sara Motka and Natasha Honan for the opportunity and support.”
