Sandeep Jadhav: How Nutritional Deficiencies Can Act as Hidden Pro-Thrombotic Risk Factors
Sandeep Jadhav, Graduated Doctor at Bapuji Pharmacy College, shared a post on LinkedIn about an article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in World Journal of Pharmaceutical Research, adding:
“Glad to share this insightful published case report on Hydropneumothorax associated with bilateral pulmonary thromboembolism, complicated by severe Vitamin B12 deficiency and hyperhomocysteinemia.
This case highlights how nutritional deficiencies can act as hidden pro-thrombotic risk factors, even in younger patients without traditional risk factors. Early diagnosis through CECT, timely ICD insertion, anticoagulation, and B12 supplementation played a crucial role in management.
Grateful to my co-authors and mentors for their guidance, collaboration, and support throughout this case work – truly a valuable learning experience.”
