Sarah Richardson: Feeling So Proud to Be a Part of the Advocacy Team for the HFA
Sarah Richardson, Information Technology Administrator at ABR Systems Group, shared on LinkedIn:
”Feeling so proud to be a part of the Advocacy Team for the Hemophilia Federation of America.
Being involved in this work has opened my eyes even more to the power of community, the importance of raising our voices, and how much impact we can make when we stand together.
Here are just a few things our advocacy team does:
• Fight for better access to care — making sure individuals and families with bleeding disorders have the coverage, treatment, and support they need.
• Stay ahead of policy changes — tracking legislation that affects our community and speaking up before it affects patient care.
• Elevate real patient voices — sharing our stories with lawmakers, agencies, and decision-makers so they understand the human side of bleeding disorders.
• Protect safety and treatment standards — pushing for research, innovation, and strong oversight so families can trust their care.
• Build community strength — empowering others to understand their rights, get involved, and feel supported every step of the way.
It’s an honor to play even a small role in this work, for Elias, for every family walking this road including our own, and for the future of our entire community.
Grateful to serve, speak up, and keep pushing for better.”
