Alfonso J. Tafur Steps Up for World Thrombosis Day: Dancing for Awareness and Prevention
Alfonso J. Tafur, Vascular Medicine Fellowship Program Director at University of Chicago, Director of Vascular Medicine Department at NorthShore University, shared on LinkedIn:
”World Thrombosis Day is around the corner.
This year, I’m stepping onto the stage with Giordano Dance Chicago—dancing not just for art, but for awareness.
Thrombosis remains a hidden global health threat. Movement is one of the simplest, most powerful ways to protect our circulation.
By collaborating with Dancing with the Giordano Stars program, we’re highlighting how dance can be both expression and prevention.
Every step we take is a reminder that staying active saves lives.
If you’d like to support this mission and help expand access to dance education, consider donating here.”
