Tracey Matsugu: A Journey of Gratitude, Growth, and Community Impact of 15 Years at Heart and Stroke
Tracey Matsugu, Senior Manager for Program Development and Community Fundraising at Heart and Stroke, shared on LinkedIn:
”Today marks 15 years with Heart and Stroke and I’m feeling incredibly grateful.
Over the years, I’ve had so many opportunities to grow, learn, and stretch, and I am deeply thankful for the trust and support that made that possible.
Working in community fundraising, starting with Ride for Heart, which will always hold a special place in my heart, has been especially meaningful to me.
I continue to love this space, the impact it has, and the way it brings people together to create real change.
What has made this journey most special is the people.
I’ve worked alongside so many generous, talented people and learned from leaders who believed in me and supported my growth, including Kairi W., Anne (Kozak) Guilfoyle and Avril Goffredo.
There are far too many people who have been part of this journey to name and thank, but our community is strong, supportive, and deeply committed.
I’m proud to be part of an organization united by a shared mission to beat heart disease and stroke.
Heart and Stroke is helping to save lives and build a healthier future for everyone in Canada. I am grateful to play a small part in that work.”
