”Today, the Ecuador 2026 National Conference on Coagulation Disorders begins in Quito.
The objective of this event is to continue strengthening comprehensive care, timely diagnosis, and treatment for people with inherited bleeding disorders in the country, within the framework of the collaborative work between the Ministry of Health and the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH).
This meeting, endorsed by the Ecuadorian Society of Hematology (SEH), the Spanish Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (SETH), and the Latin American Cooperative Group on Hemostasis and Thrombosis (CLAHT), brings together health professionals, scientific societies, academia, and institutions committed to developing national capacities in hemophilia and other coagulopathies, as well as the continuous improvement of health services.
For the WFH, this conference represents an opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to technical cooperation with Ecuador and with the bleeding disorders community, for the benefit of the people and families living with these conditions.
According to Cesar Garrido, President of the WFH: ‘This meeting reflects our commitment to continue building local capacities in Ecuador, together with the Ministry of Health, so that the inherited bleeding disorders community receives comprehensive, timely, and quality care”’.
