Aravind Palraj: 5 Common Mistakes in Interpreting Autoimmune Labs
Aravind Palraj, Senior Resident in Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology at Madras Medical College, shared a post on X:
“Most autoimmune lab errors don’t come from ignorance.

ANA ≠ diagnosis
Isolated low C4 ≠ lupus flare
ANA ≠ disease activity
Infection can mimic autoimmunity
Indiscriminate ENA panels mislead
Labs support diagnosis – they do not make it.
Save this. Pin it. Revisit it before your next autoimmune work-up.”
