David Smadja: When Public Debate Focuses on Form, We Must Return to Substance
David Smadja, Professor of Hematology (PU-PH) at University of Paris Cité, European Georges Pompidou Hospital, shared on LinkedIn:
”At a time when public debate often focuses on form, it is urgent to go back to the substance.
- We propose, with the Laboratory of the Republic, a lucid inventory of the situation and concrete ways to reinvent prevention in public health, by articulating two essential but too often dissociated levers: school health and occupational health.
- This contribution places innovation at the heart of the approach: innovation in practices, in cooperation between professionals, innovation in the place of youth in children’s prevention, in support systems, and in the very way of thinking about prevention throughout life.
- Mental health, coordination, training, evaluation, proximity: in-depth, structuring, realistic proposals.
- The substance exists. We just have to give it back its rightful place.
