Christodoulos Papadopoulos: Oral Anticoagulation Monotherapy in Chronic Coronary Syndrome

Christodoulos Papadopoulos, Associate Professor in Cardiology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, adding:

“Our recent meta-analysis on antithrombotic strategy in CCS patients needing oral anticoagulation, nicely executed mainly by Anastasios Tsarouchas.

Major conclusion: OAC monotherapy reduces bleeding while not increasing ischemic events.

Mine interpretation: Try to limit long lasting combination therapy (more than 3 months) especially in frail patients.”
