Eiman Emran: The Hematologic Consequences of Heavy Menstrual Bleeding
Eiman Emran, Medical Laboratory Technologist at Ministry of Health – Jordan, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in Acta Biomedica, adding:
“I am delighted to share my first scientific publication!
Our case report, ‘Iron Deficiency Anemia and Reactive Thrombocytosis in a Woman with Heavy Menstrual Bleeding: A Case Report,’ has been published in Acta Biomedica.
This work highlights the importance of a rigorous diagnostic approach and reminds clinicians that persistent thrombocytosis secondary to iron deficiency anemia requires careful reassessment before diagnosing clonal disorders such as essential thrombocythemia.
I am deeply grateful to my mentors and colleagues for their invaluable guidance and support throughout this journey.
Publishing my first paper is an important milestone and marks the beginning of my journey in scientific research.
I look forward to continuing to contribute to the fields of hematology and laboratory medicine.”
