Glanzmann Thrombasthenia Is More Common Than Previously Thought
Divyaswathi Citla Sridhar, Pediatric Hematologist and Oncologist at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”Our analysis of 1,059 U.S. patients with Glanzmann Thrombasthenia (GT) shows that GT prevalence may be significantly higher in the United States than previously recognized, and underscores the substantial clinical burden from recurrent bleeding, anemia, and transfusion dependence.
