Katarzyna Kniola: Proud to Share My First Scientific Publication in Haemophilia

Katarzyna Kniola, Senior Specialist Biomedical Scientist – Haematology and Blood Transfusion at Barts Health NHS Trust, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in Haemophilia, adding:

“I’m incredibly excited to share a very special milestone in my career — my first scientific publication!

I’m proud to have contributed as a co-author to our paper, ‘The Correction Factor for Monitoring Efanesoctocog Alfa Is Not Always 2.5′, published in Haemophilia.

Our study highlights the limitations of applying a universal correction factor when monitoring efanesoctocog alfa (Altuvoct), demonstrating the importance of assay-specific validation to ensure accurate FVIII measurements and support clinical decision-making.

As a Biomedical Scientist specialising in Haemostasis, being involved in research that has the potential to influence laboratory practice is incredibly rewarding.

A huge thank you to my co-authors and everyone involved for the opportunity to contribute to this work.

Seeing my name on a published scientific paper for the very first time is definitely a moment I’ll remember!”
