Katrina Snow, Transfusion Safety Officer at North York General Hospital, shared Sickle Cell Awareness Group of Ontario (SCAGO)’s post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Sheharyar Raza et al., published in Vox Sanguinis, adding:

”Sickle cell disease (SCD) patients face increased risks with blood transfusions. Research from Dr. Sheharyar Raza et al. has highlighted some very important transfusion practice trends for SCD patients in Ontario.

Looking forwarding to sharing with summit attendees the ongoing QI work NYG is doing to address these findings.”
