A Call for Targeted Prevention of Postthrombotic Syndrome in Europe – JTH
Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (JTH) shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Luca Valerio et al, adding:
”Postthrombotic Syndrome: Risk After Deep Vein Thrombosis and Estimates of Its Incidence and Prevalence in Europe
PTS risk rises significantly with more proximal DVT location – reaching 51% for iliofemoral DVT – with an estimated 250,000 new cases and nearly 5 million people living with PTS annually across Europe, highlighting an urgent need for targeted prevention strategies.”
