Rami Unterman: A Simple New Biomarker for Fibrotic ILDs
Rami Unterman, Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at Tel Aviv University, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Respiratory Medicine, adding:
“Neutrophils are important biomarkers in pulmonary fibrosis!
We now have a new validated simple prognostic biomarker in fibrotic ILDs: Neutrophils more than 5600/uL.
And best of all: it works across most ILD subtypes, not only IPF (with the exception of CTD-ILD).
Super-proud of my mentee Dr. Nimrod Urtreger for getting this huge project to the finish-line, and proud to have led this as senior author together with Ayodeji Adegunsoye.”
Title: Comprehensive assessment of complete blood count as a prognostic biomarker in interstitial lung diseases
