Sarah-Anne Nicholas: Excited to Share My First-Author Publication from My PhD Research
Sarah-Anne Nicholas, Post Doctoral Fellow at Boehringer Ingelheim, shared a post on LinkedIn, about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in AHA Journals:
“Excited to share my first-author publication featuring research from my PhD.
It feels amazing to see this work out in the world, especially because it supports a shift in thinking about the role endothelial cells play in immune responses in cardiovascular disease – not just as gatekeepers regulating immune cell infiltration, but as active mediators of T cell phenotype and survival.
I am incredibly grateful to my PI and mentor Patrick Murphy for his guidance, patience, and unwavering support.
I am also deeply thankful for the help of my co-authors and the many hands that contributed along the way.
It was a long road – but a journey defined by challenges met with grit and determination that ultimately led to this pretty remarkable success.”
