Satyam Arora: Why Are We Transfusing Kids in India?
Satyam Arora, Regional Director for South East Asia at the International Society of Blood Transfusion, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, adding:
“Why are we transfusing kids in India?
Delighted to share our new publication presenting national data on ‘Indications of blood transfusion in neonatal and pediatric patients in India‘.
Understanding why we transfuse is the first step toward optimizing practices, minimizing risks, and strengthening evidence-based care—especially in a population where data has been limited.
This work aims to provide clarity, spark discussion, and support better clinical decision-making across neonatal and pediatric settings.
Grateful to all collaborators who made this possible—looking forward to meaningful conversations and future collaborations in this space.”
