Toong Youttananukorn: WE CARE Study From India Showing the Needs of Patients and Caregivers
Toong Youttananukorn, Data Quality Manager at World Federation of Hemophilia, shared World Federation of Hemophilia’s post on LinkedIn, adding:
”Proud to see a World Bleeding Disorders Registry (WBDR) Research Support Program (RSP) project in a peer-reviewed publication.
The WE CARE study from Christian Medical College and Hospital in Ludhiana, India is a reminder that local data tells stories global datasets can’t – documenting chronic pain, financial strain, stigma, and isolation affecting patients and caregivers alike in a resource-limited setting.
This is exactly what the WBDR RSP was designed for: HTCs doing rigorous research on the questions that matter most to their communities.
The result is not just a publication. It is the evidence that holistic, patient-centred care models are needed, and a foundation for advocating for Treatment For All.
Congratulations to the team at CMC Ludhiana DMridul Makkar Bothra PT, M Joseph John, Diksha Sarwan PT.”
World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Mridul Makkar et al., published in the Haemophilia:
”New research supported by the WFH World Bleeding Disorders Registry (WBDR) Research Support Program has been published in Haemophilia, the official journal of the WFH.
The WECARE study highlights the personal, social, and economic challenges faced by people living with hemophilia and their caregivers, from chronic pain and disrupted education or work to financial strain and stigma.
Findings like these help strengthen the case for more holistic care that supports the full realities of living with bleeding disorders.”
