Mohamed Magdy Badr: Compression Therapy Doesn’t Guarantee Healing
Mohamed Magdy Badr, Wound Care Consultant at Armed Force Rehabilitation Center, posted on LinkedIn:
”Compression therapy is essential for managing edema and venous disease…
but it doesn’t guarantee healing.
A wound can still stall because of:
- Poor arterial perfusion
- Undetected infection or biofilm
- Lymphatic failure
- Uncontrolled diabetes or metabolic instability
- Offloading errors
- Incorrect compression technique
Compression works only when the underlying pathology is corrected.
I’ve just created a clear, practical video explaining exactly why compression can fail — and how to fix it.”
