”Recently, ICCBBA’s Development Officer for India, Dr Shivanand Kumatagi visited Believers Church Medical College Hospital Tiruvalla, to deliver an interactive session on the ISBT128 Standard.
The session introduced clinicians, transfusion medicine specialists, and laboratory teams to:
• The fundamentals of the ISBT128 Standard
• The mission and global role of ICCBBA
• Key advantages of adopting the ISBT128 Standard for blood and cell therapy services
• Prerequisites and readiness steps for implementing standardized labeling and coding
ICCBBA appreciates the warm welcome and the enthusiastic engagement from the Clinical Hematology and Transfusion Medicine department, as well as all participants who contributed thoughtful questions and valuable discussions.
