”Exciting and very lively session at ANIM 2026 as part of the German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM) symposium on the use of neurosonology in stroke units and intensive care units.
I had the opportunity to speak about intracranial flow acceleration and cerebral vasospasm in the post-acute phase of SAB.
I was particularly pleased with the lively discussion that followed, especially regarding the future of training in neurological ultrasound diagnostics.
The exchange showed once again that neurosonology is clinically highly relevant – but only sustainable if we anchor it in continuing education in a structured, practical manner.
This was discussed openly, critically, and constructively.
