Fleur Krommendijk: Donor Acceptance of Iron Supplementation Across Seven Countries
Fleur Krommendijk, Radiology Technician at OLVG, posted on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, adding:
”Proud to share that research from my master’s thesis has now been published in Transfusion Medicine Reviews.
This study, conducted at Sanquin Blood Bank, explores donor acceptance of iron supplementation across seven countries.
Key finding: over 80% of donors were willing to take postdonation iron supplements, with willingness strongly associated with trust in the blood service and prior supplement use, but not with donor knowledge.
I am very grateful to Amber Meulenbeld and Katja van den Hurk for their excellent supervision and guidance throughout this project.
