Timothy Stalker: Differences Between Arterial and Venous Hemostasis
Timothy Stalker, Assistant Professor at Thomas Jefferson University, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, adding:
”The hemostatic system needs to quickly respond to vascular injury across a wide range of physiologic conditions.
Our latest paper, recently published in Blood Advances, uses state-of-the-art imaging and machine-learning-based analysis to examine how hemostatic plugs are organized in a low-pressure vein vs high pressure artery.
The results reveal both similarities and interesting differences. Check out the paper for the details, and don’t miss the movies.
Thanks to all who contributed. ”
