Ahd Elmahi: Complex Case of Catecholamine-Induced Multiorgan Failure and Arterial Thrombosis in Community-Acquired Pneumonia

Ahd Elmahi, Medical Student at University of Sharjah, shared on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, adding:

”I’m excited to share that our case report, ‘Catecholamine-Induced Multiorgan Failure and Arterial Thrombosis: A Rare Manifestation of Pheochromocytoma in the Setting of Community-Acquired Pneumonia,’ has been published!

This case was particularly notable due to the severity and complexity of the patient’s presentation.

It underscores the importance of considering catecholamine excess in unexplained critical illness, as timely recognition and targeted management can be lifesaving and prevent irreversible complications.

Grateful to have contributed as first author and thankful to my co-authors for their dedication and support throughout this project.”
