Cathy Harrison: Global Hemophilia Nursing Research and Patient Experience Insights
Cathy Harrison, Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Haemophilia and Haemostasis Disorders at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Great to join the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Haematology research away day today to share interim findings from World Federation of Hemophilia nurses committee ‘Global Tattoo Survey‘.
This is prior to presenting a poster at WFH World Congress 2026 in Kuala Lumpur next month.
There’s still time to register if you’re interested in attending.
Some great presentations from a mix of haematology-oncology backgrounds, both clinical and translational science studies and some wider awareness about the NHS research plan and STH approaches.
Speakers from within the trust, The University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University all participating.
Highlights for me were seeing some data on biomechanics of haemophilic ankle arthropathy data and the networking opportunities that come from these types of meetings that offer future collaborations and projects to blossom.
Thanks to Matt Sims, Jack Goddard, Eva and Kat from the R and D team for the organisation and invite to speak it was good to share a bit about patient experience.”
