Jamie Brannigan: Help Shape the Future of Brain-Computer Interfaces in Stroke and Neurological Care
Jamie Brannigan, Resident Physician in the Department of Neurology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, shared on LinkedIn:
”What should the top priorities for brain-computer interface research be?
That’s the question we’re asking in the final survey of the Brain-Computer Interface Priority Setting Partnership.
Over the past year, people living with motor neurone disease/ALS, spinal cord injury, and stroke, along with their families, carers, and healthcare professionals, have told us what matters most to them about implantable BCIs.
We’ve distilled those responses into 52 summary questions for future research.
Now we need your help to narrow these down.
This survey asks you to choose up to 10 questions that matter most to you.
The results will determine which questions go forward to a final workshop where people with lived experience, carers, and clinicians will agree the top 10 research priorities for implantable BCIs.
The survey takes approximately 15 minutes and is open to anyone affected by MND/ALS, SCI, or stroke, their families and carers, and healthcare professionals working in these areas.
This is a James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership, supported by the Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA) and delivered in collaboration with the MND Association, Stroke Association, and Spinal Injuries Association.
Please share widely.”
