Greta Mulders: Nursing Leadership in Haemophilia Gene Therapy

Greta Mulders, Nurse practitioner at Erasmus MC, shared on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in Haemophilia, adding:

”Proud to share our publication: ‘Defining the Role of Nurses in Gene Therapy for Haemophilia.’

As healthcare evolves, so does the role of nursing; becoming ever more central in guiding patients through innovative treatments such as gene therapy.

This paper highlights how essential that role remains, especially in emerging therapies where patient education, support, and long-term follow-up are crucial.

Thank you to Simon Flechter, Aysen Tasgin, Marlene Beijlevelt, Marica Moro for working on this project together!

Special thanks to Prof Kate Khair for the inspiration and encouragement to think critically and aim higher.

On to new questions and future research!”
