Will Parsons Honors National Leaders in Hematology: Drs. Fasipe, Powers and Tubman
Will Parsons, Interim Director at Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”We’re proud to recognize the national leadership roles of (pictured L-R) Drs. Titilope Fasipe, Jacquelyn “Jackie” Powers and Venee Tubman in advancing care for children with blood disorders.
• Dr. Titi Fasipe serves as Chair of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) Sickle Cell Disease Advisory Committee and leads two American Society of Hematology (ASH) initiatives focused on community engagement and quality care.
• Dr. Jackie Powers is Clinical Chair for ASH’s guidelines on pediatric iron deficiency, one of the few national efforts focused on children.
• Dr. Tubman leads ASH’s global guidelines on hydroxyurea dosing and monitoring, helping standardize care for children with chronic blood disorders around the world.
Please join us in celebrating their continued leadership and impact on the lives of children and families affected by blood disorders.
