Arun V. J.: At ISBT, the Best Innovations Are Often Already Among Us
Arun V. J, The Leader of Transfusion Medicine at Malabar Medical College, shared on LinkedIn:
”Just wrapped the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) KL talk and my Indian accent came out strong.
Anxiety does that.
But we don’t need to invent anything new.
But I’m happy. Really happy. The questions, the conversations, the interest. People resonated.
Everyone’s solving the same problem, just at different scales.
A 200-bed centre. A 900-bed hospital.
Same donor wait time issue.
Same bleeding time constraints.
Same staffing limits.
Different size, same root cause.
So we don’t need to invent anything.
Learn from someone who already solved it. That’s the entire thing.
You’ve done this in your own centres. Your own departments.
You just didn’t call it Lean. Didn’t write it down. Didn’t share it.
I’m waiting to learn from you now.
Drop a comment. What problem did you solve?
How’d you do it without more money or more staff?
See you at the ISBT. Let’s talk about what actually works.”
