Sonal Sonu: Kell VS Rh – Not All Blood Group Systems Affect Erythropoiesis the Same Way

“Kell doesn’t play by the same rules as Rh.
While Rh causes fetal anemia by destroying red cells, Kell goes a step further – it attacks the factory that makes them.
Erythropoiesis suppressed.
RBCs destroyed.
Same disease spectrum. Different pathophysiology.
And that’s why understanding the mechanism matters.”
