Radiotherapy and VTE Risk: Insights from Marc Carrier and Colleagues
Marc Carrier, Professor at Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, recently has shared a post on X:
“Radiotherapy is essential in cancer care, but evidence shows it may independently raise the risk of VTE.
This review in RPTH journal highlights mechanisms, diagnostic challenges, and why tailored thromboprophylaxis, not blanket use, is needed.”
