”It was a privilege to be part of the organizing team for the ISBT Academy Day 2026 on ‘Blood Safety: Molecular Immunohematology and Rare Donor Program,’ hosted by Bangalore Medical Services Trust (BMST) in collaboration with the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT).
The event brought together 157 delegates, 15 distinguished speakers, and experts from India, Israel, and the USA to exchange knowledge on molecular immunohematology, rare donor programs, immunohematology reference laboratories, and blood safety.
The insightful discussions, interactive case studies, and international perspectives reaffirmed the importance of collaboration in advancing transfusion medicine.
