Santagata Davide: Can Targeting Inflammation Help Prevent Thrombosis?
Santagata Davide, Resident in Internal Medicine at University of Insubria, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Internal and Emergency Medicine, adding:
“Can targeting inflammation help prevent thrombosis?
Happy to share our new review in Internal and Emergency Medicine:
‘Inflammation and thrombosis: from pathophysiology to future treatments’.
We explore how inflammation drives thrombosis—and how these mechanisms could inform future therapies.
Anti-inflammatory treatments have shown benefits in selected cardiovascular settings. Can we translate this progress into venous thromboembolism prevention?
This remains an open question.
Many thanks to all my co-authors for this collaboration!”
