Scarlet R. Spain: Early Recognition of Adolescent Cerebral Venous Thrombosis

Scarlet R. Spain, Director of DNP and FNP Program, Assistant Professor at Saint Mary’s College, shared a post on LinkedIn:

Jamie Bump and I are excited to share that our latest publication, ‘Cerebral Venous Thrombosis Presenting in Adolescence: A Case Study,’ has been accepted for publication in the Advanced Emergency Nursing Journal.

This project was especially meaningful to both of us.

Cerebral venous thrombosis is a rare but potentially life-threatening diagnosis that requires early recognition in emergency medicine to improve patient outcomes.

We hope this case contributes to increased awareness and supports clinicians in identifying this critical condition.

Thank you to everyone who supported this work and to The Advanced Emergency Nursing Journal for the opportunity to share it!”
