ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) plus COVID-19 patients had nearly 4 times higher death rates than pre-pandemic controls (45% vs 11%), Even STEMI hospital survivors faced lasting risk; the mortality gradient didn’t stop at discharge.

STEMI patients, like LC PASC patients, have exacerbated ‘NETosis dysregulation.’

Many STEMI patients have been shown to have lower but still elevated NETs even after Percutaneous Cornary Intervention.

Keeping their NETs lower could likely help prevent recurrence and also improve microvascular blood circulation and tissue perfusion.
