Shiny K. Kajal: Rh Is More Than Just Positive or Negative
Shiny K. Kajal, Senior Resident at Adesh University, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Post 49- Most of us learned RhD as simply ‘Positive or Negative’ during MBBS.
But Rh is far more than Anti-D.
Anti-C, Anti-c, Anti-E and Anti-e can all be clinically significant – with implications for HDFN, hemolytic transfusion reactions and RBC selection.
So, when it comes to Rh antibodies, don’t stop at ‘RhD positive/negative.’
There’s much more to the Rh system than what we first learned.”
