Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC) is one of the most challenging syndromes encountered in intensive care. It is not just a bleeding disorder – it is a complex process where abnormal clot formation and uncontrolled bleeding occur simultaneously, often leading to multi-organ failure if not recognized early.
In this comic episode, I simplify the science behind DIC using an engaging story while highlighting the key findings from a prospective clinical study.
