A new review in Lipids in Health and Disease highlights how lipid metabolic reprogramming can reshape the immune microenvironment in metastatic colorectal cancer—affecting T-cell exhaustion, immune escape, ferroptosis, and therapeutic response.
Key pathways include FASN, CD36, HMGCR, PCSK9, and SREBP, opening intriguing possibilities for combining metabolic targeting with immunotherapy.
