Dianne E. van der Wal: C-Terminal Endings Impact PAR1/PAR4 Peptide Potency in In Vitro Platelet Assays

Dianne E. van der Wal, Honorary Lecturer at the University of Sydney, Researcher at the ANZAC Research Institute, and Editor at Platelets journal, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, published in JTH, adding:

“Now in Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (JTH)

When stimulating your platelets’ thrombin receptors in vitro, please be aware of the C-terminal ending of the PAR1/PAR4 peptides used

Their potency is very different in flow cytometry and light transmission aggregation assays.
