Janez Urevc: Modeling Compression Ultrasound for Internal Jugular Vein Thrombosis in Astronauts
Janez Urevc, Assistant Professor at University of Ljubljana, Faculty Of Mechanical Engineering, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Annals of Biomedical Engineering, adding:
“Our recent work towards ‘quantitative compression ultrasound’ for assessing internal jugular vein thrombosis in astronauts has just been published.
We used numerical modelling to explore how the vein and surrounding neck tissues respond to compression under different thrombus configurations.”
