Mahmoud Saad: Successful Mechanical Thrombectomy for Right Atrial Thrombosis
Mahmoud Saad, Product Manager at MT IKAR, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Proud to share the successful management of a challenging case of Right Atrial Thrombosis using Mechanical Thrombectomy.
What made this case particularly remarkable was not only the successful outcome, but the combination of advanced interventional expertise, precise procedural planning, technical skill, and meticulous execution throughout the intervention.
The thrombus was successfully extracted with complete clearance of the right atrium, achieving an excellent final result.
- Device: Lightning Indigo System 12 Fr
- Outcome: Complete thrombus extraction
- Blood loss: Minimal
- Procedure time: Efficient and reduced
- Approach: Advanced mechanical thrombectomy with precise catheter manipulation and controlled thrombus extraction
A special appreciation to Mahmoud Baraka and Ayman Hazem Khamis for their outstanding interventional expertise, technical precision, and advanced procedural skills.
Their ability to navigate a challenging intracardiac thrombotic scenario, optimize the thrombectomy strategy, and perform precise catheter based intervention with controlled and efficient thrombus extraction was an essential part of achieving this excellent outcome.
Cases like this require much more than technology alone they demand experience, technical judgment, hand skills, procedural adaptability, and the ability to make the right interventional decisions at the right moment.
My deepest appreciation goes beyond the word ‘thank you’ to Yasmine Elgharably , whose dedication and commitment to the patient were truly at the heart of this journey.
I would also like to sincerely acknowledge the entire team at Saudi German Hospital Alexandria , especially Nursing Supervisor Alsayed Abdullah, for the exceptional cooperation, coordination, and dedication throughout the procedure.
And to my colleague Yassir Maamoun wishing you continued success and excellence. Your teamwork and support were greatly aappreciated
‘Hope gives us the strength to begin, and optimism gives us the courage to keep going.’
Every successful case is more than a technical achievement.
It is a reminder that when interventional expertise, advanced technology, teamwork, and determination come together, challenging clinical situations can be transformed into successful outcomes.
Proud of the team. Proud of the journey. Most importantly, grateful for the outcome.”
