Marcelo Carlin: Unimed Piracicaba Showcases Research in Hemotherapy at HEMO 2026
Marcelo Carlin, Coordinator at Unimed Piracicaba, Lecturer at Einstein Faculdade e Colégio, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Contributing to the advancement of Hemotherapy through scientific research and representing Unimed Piracicaba at HEMO 2026, in Rio de Janeiro, was a source of great satisfaction and pride.
At the largest congress in Latin America and one of the most important in the world in the areas of Hematology, Hemotherapy and Cell Therapy, I had the opportunity to present three scientific papers, addressing topics such as the management of the stock of packed red blood cells and their relationship with storage lesions and immunomodulation, the growth in demand for therapeutic bleeding and the relationship between nutritional status and severity of anemia in hospitalized patients.
The three studies were also published in the scientific journal Hematology, Transfusion and Cell Therapy (HTCT).
In addition to scientific production, the congress reinforces the importance of continuing education, professional updating and the exchange of experiences with specialists, contributing to the improvement of care practices.”
