Adeniji Mustapha: Advocacy for Health Doesn’t Require a License
Adeniji Mustapha, Medical Student at Osun State University, shared on LinkedIn:
”Why wait for a white coat to make a difference?
As a 3rd-year medical student,
I’ve realized that the most important lessons aren’t always found in the classroom they are found in our communities.
I founded STROKEGUARD NG because I saw a gap that couldn’t wait for my graduation.
Stroke doesn’t wait for us to finish our degrees, and hypertension the ‘Silent Killer’ doesn’t take a break while we study for exams.
The Mission is Simple:
We are on a journey to eliminate stroke through awareness and early intervention.
Whether it’s public speaking or encouraging a neighbor to check their numbers, every conversation is a life potentially saved.
The Lesson:
You don’t need a license to advocate for health. You just need a mission and the willingness to show up.
Stay tuned to be updated on my upcoming lecture/awareness on stroke in the coming days.
To my fellow medical students and young professionals: What’s one cause in your field that you’re passionate about starting now?”
