Arun V. J.: Bringing Generative AI to India’s Largest Transfusion Medicine Gathering
Arun V. J., The Leader of Transfusion Medicine at Malabar Medical College, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immunohaematology (ISBTI) has never just been a conference organiser. Every year, they find ways to give the transfusion medicine community something it didn’t know it needed. A platform. A conversation. A room where the right people sit together and something shifts.
TRANSCON 2026 is doing that again Sajith Vilambil.
This time, before the main conference even begins, they’ve built something I think will matter more than people realise right now.
A full pre-conference workshop on Generative AI and Research in AI.
In Kochi. This September. At India’s largest transfusion medicine gathering.
I’ve been asked to lead it alongside Aswin K Mohan. I’ve taken this conversation to multiple platforms before. Rooms of 200, 300, sometimes 500 clinicians and lab professionals.
Every single time, the response is the same — people walk in uncertain and walk out with something they can actually use the next morning. ISBTI saw that. And they’ve given us a full day to go deeper than any webinar allows.
Real tools. Research workflows. Honest conversations about what AI does well and where it will quietly get you in trouble. Built specifically for transfusion medicine professionals who have actual work to get done.
This is what ISBTI does. They don’t wait for the profession to catch up to the world. They build the bridge.
Grateful for the trust. We won’t waste it.”
