“Today, I had the pleasure of delivering an internal lecture on the Kell Blood Group System as part of our Continuous Professional Development at the Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Center.
We explored the clinical significance of Kell antigens, their role in red-cell alloimmunisation and haemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn, and the implications for transfusion practice.
We also discussed emerging approaches to managing alloimmunised pregnancies, while recognising that current surveillance and care standards remain essential.
