Denise Braendgaard: Reimagining Health Systems Through Collective Action
Denise Braendgaard, General Manager at Novo Nordisk Haemophilia and Haemoglobinopathies Foundation, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”What role does imagination play when working towards positive change in complex realities?
This was one of the questions that stayed with Célia Rohrer and me after the 25th Swiss Foundations Symposium.
Under the theme AndAction, the discussions moved beyond tools and strategies to something more fundamental: the mindsets, relationships and human dynamics that allow action to happen:
- Moral imagination.
- Resilience.
- Unity.
- Equity.
- Justice.
- Collaboration.
These topics connect with the Novo Nordisk Haemophilia and Haemoglobinopathies Foundation.
Improving access to care requires a deep understanding of local context, co-creation with partners, and the ability to imagine more equitable health systems shaped by trust and long-term commitment.
As always, it was valuable to connect with peers from across the foundation and NGO sector.
Thank you Swiss Foundations for creating space for reflection and action.
The final question of the day felt simple, but urgent: What can we do now? For me, it continues with listening, learning and acting together.
What does action look like in your context?”
