A Century of Von Willebrand Disease Awareness – EHC
EHC – European Haemophilia Consortium shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Von Willebrand Disease (VWD) is the most common inherited bleeding disorder, yet recognition remains a major challenge, even among healthcare professionals.
The symptoms — frequent nosebleeds, easy bruising, heavy menstrual bleeding, prolonged bleeding after minor procedures — are often dismissed as normal.
But for those living with VWD, they shape every aspect of daily life: work, school, social activities, and medical care all require extra consideration.
Awareness starts with knowledge.
We invite you to consult our VWD symptom infographic and share it widely, because the sooner symptoms are recognized, the sooner people can access the care they deserve.
Discover the infographic.
This is part of our VWD 100 campaign, marking 100 years of VWD throughout 2026.
Each month, we shine a light on a different aspect of VWD.”
