The Importance of Emotional and Social Support in VWD – EHC
EHC – European Haemophilia Consortium shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Living with Von Willebrand Disease (VWD) is about more than managing bleeding symptoms. Emotional and mental wellbeing matter just as much as physical health.
As part of our VWD 100 campaign, we hear from Lourdes Pérez González, social worker and manager of Federación Española de Hemofilia, who explains what the social worker role means for people with VWD and why it is so important to consider the whole person: physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing alike.
Because VWD doesn’t only affect the body. It affects every part of life.
This video is part of our year long campaign marking 100 years of VWD throughout 2026.
Each month, we shine a light on a different aspect of VWD.”
