Fernanda Orsi: The Growing Impact of Hematology Research in Latin America
Fernanda Orsi, Associate Professor at Faculty of Medical Sciences, Unicamp, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I’m happy to have the opportunity to participate again as a faculty member in the American Society of Hematology’s Clinical Research Training Institute in Latin America.
The course took place from May 3-6 in Bogotá, Colombia.
Once again, we had an intensive four-day course on clinical research, covering everything from introductory concepts to advanced workshops.
This year, I spoke about writing academic proposals and papers, as well as Blood Global Hematology.
As always, the most valuable sessions were the one-on-one and mentorship sessions.
Particularly, a main plus this year was the amazing networking. It was a pleasure to meet, reconnect and make friends with trainees and researchers from all over the Americas.
Above all, I’m grateful to see how research proposals from Latin America have improved in recent years.
The more I teach, the more I learn from all the participants.”
